Family in Need Gets Christmas Surprise After Girl Asks Santa for Help

A Minnesota girl wrote a letter to Santa asking him to help her family and stop bullying her, and it struck a chord with members of a local nonprofit.

“As children ran to see Santa last night, out of the nearly 100 children we saw last night, there was one child who did not request any supplies for himself,” the nonprofit said. the group said. “If we have been doing this for years, we will be shocked, saddened and sometimes even mortified by what our children are asking for. Thanks to many generous people, Soldiers 6 quickly collected “everything from gift cards to toys and more” for the girls and their siblings.

“It would be great if we could provide stable transportation and find a car for this woman, but for now we are doing our best to make her Christmas brighter.” the group added in a Facebook update.

They also collected Non-perishable foods, grocery store gift cards, and other family essentials.

“Here's a little girl who is fundamentally selfless, and all she thinks about is her family,” says Edward Abrahamson of Soldiers 6. said Fox 9.

“Walk a mile in her shoes and picture what it's like for her every day,” he added. “We can't change the world, but we can definitely make things better for this girl and her family.”
