Tragic Triple Homicide in Alabama

Authorities have reported the shocking discovery of three bodies in an Alabama home. A woman, identified as Lisa Gail Fields, 46, along with her pregnant teenage daughter, Keziah Aliona Rooker, 17, and her 12-year-old son, Thomas Cordell Jr., were found brutally murdered.

Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch stated that officers were called to the residence in Willmar just after 2:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered the victims in different rooms, all with their hands tied behind their backs. Fields was a victim of stabbing, Rooker was shot, and young Thomas suffered a throat slash that nearly decapitated him.

“It was a brutal scene,” Burch commented. He expressed disbelief, noting that violence against children is especially heinous. “If you have an issue with an adult, there’s nothing that justifies such brutality, particularly toward kids. I truly hope this maniac is apprehended soon.”

Remarkably, Rooker’s 18-month-old child was found unharmed in the house. Sheriff Burch clarified that there appears to be no domestic or familial conflict involved.

The sheriff described the home’s condition as chaotic, hinting that the assailants might have been searching for something. The investigation suggests that multiple individuals were likely involved in the attack since the victims were overpowered.

Burch revealed that Rooker was around seven or eight months pregnant at the time of the incident. He detailed the nature of the murders: the mother had been stabbed, the 17-year-old was shot, and the 12-year-old was also stabbed and slashed. “It seems they had a plan, potentially coming equipped with zip ties and flex cuffs,” he added.

The situation unfolded when Rooker’s father, working offshore, noticed her phone activating on Life360 and grew concerned when he couldn’t reach her. A family member then checked on the house and found all three victims in separate rooms.

As the investigation continues, the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office will assess whether the death of Rooker’s unborn child warrants additional murder charges once a suspect is captured.

Authorities have indicated they possess “solid leads” in the case. Rooker’s father spoke to local TV, emphasizing the senselessness of the murders. He described his daughter as a ray of sunshine who could brighten anyone’s day with her empathy and love for family.
