Support for Kyle Busch’s Family from Greg Biffle’s Relatives
Following the unexpected passing of NASCAR driver Kyle Busch on Thursday, the family of the late Greg Biffle has reached out to express their condolences and support.
In a Friday statement, Biffle’s family reflected on how Busch and his family had provided support during their darkest moments after the tragic plane crash that claimed Biffle’s family in December.
“Understanding Kyle Busch’s death feels almost impossible,” the statement noted. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Sam, Brexton, Lennix, Gaye, Tom, and Kurt. Just five months ago, they were by our sides, holding our hands through worship and offering love and support. This kind of loss is something no family should endure, and our hearts go out to them.”
The statement elaborated on the bond between Biffle and Busch, mentioning plans they had to spend time together during the offseason.
“Kyle was larger than life, competitive, and an incredible friend to Greg,” the statement continued, highlighting how they leaned on each other not just during races, but in their personal lives as well.
“Greg and Kyle shared good times at Glamis in the offseason, enjoyed watching their sons play sports together, and looked forward to the future with anticipation and pride. It’s hard to imagine the racing community without Kyle. His absence will be deeply felt, extending far beyond the racetrack. We love the Busch family and are here to help in any way we can.”
Kyle Busch, who was 41, passed away on Thursday morning, shortly after being admitted to the hospital with a “serious illness.”
The specific cause of Busch’s death is still unclear, but a 911 call obtained by a news agency revealed he was found unresponsive on the bathroom floor the previous day, reportedly vomiting blood.
“He’s having trouble breathing, feeling very feverish and thinks he might faint; there’s some bleeding, and he’s coughing,” a caller informed the dispatcher. “He’s awake now, though, and he’s on the floor,” the caller added.
