The family of Luigi Mangione, the man charged with killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York City, has released their first comment since his arrest on Monday.
Mangione's cousin, Maryland State Representative Nino Mangione, issued a statement on behalf of the family, saying he could not comment on reports or allegations regarding Mangione.
“We only know what we read in the media,” the family said in a statement. “Our family is shocked and devastated by Luigi's arrest. Please keep Brian Thompson's family in your prayers and pray for everyone involved. We are devastated by this news. .”
