The family of Taylor Casey, the Chicago woman who went missing while attending a yoga retreat in the Bahamas, said they are “deeply concerned” for her safety and well-being as the search continues.
“We believe Taylor is at risk because she wanted to share her experiences at the yoga retreat with others when she returns home,” Taylor’s mother, Collette Seymour, said in a recent news release. “There is no way Taylor would disappear like this.”
In a statement obtained by Fox News Digital, Casey’s family said the 41-year-old was last seen on Wednesday, June 19, at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat on Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas.
According to a Facebook group set up to search for her, the retreat center noticed she had not attended classes on Wednesday.

“Taylor is intelligent, compassionate, thoughtful and bubbly. She has practiced yoga for 15 years and attended the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat as part of a long-term goal to deepen her yoga practice,” her family said. “She was excited to participate in the yoga teacher training program and looked forward to sharing her experience with others upon her return.”
The Royal Bahamas Police Force issued a missing person poster on Friday, June 21, to inform the public of her disappearance.
“We ask that anyone with information about Ms. Taylor’s whereabouts come forward – every lead is important in helping us find her,” the family said.
Seymour and other members of the group will travel to Paradise Island and Nassau to coordinate with local authorities and assist in the search effort.
