Famous actress Cynthia Nixon gave an unhinged speech about all the trans kids she has in her life during Monday’s protest at St. Vartan Park in New York City.
The former “Sex and the City” star took the microphone at the Pro-Trans Children protest and went on a long, wild rant revealing that her son, her sister’s kids, and her best friend’s kid are all proudly trans. Nixon belted out a bunch of wild stories about her personal life to hundreds of protestors that lined the streets of Manhattan to protest NYU-Langone after the hospital began the cancelation of children’s appointments to receive puberty blockers following President Trump’s Trans Care executive order and shouted that this “cannot happen in New York,” in a video shared widely on social media.
“My wife and I — our lives are filled with the most amazing, beautiful, brave trans people — young and old, but especially young,” the actress shouted.
Nixon went on and on about how she has a number of trans kids in her immediate circle.
“Most importantly, I am here today as the mother of a proud trans man,” Nixon said as the crowd cheered her on.
“I am here today as the aunt of a proud trans man, my best friend’s kid is trans and my kid’s best friend is trans,” she said.
Nixon continued by telling the crowd her son Samuel came out as transgender and proceeded to have his to surgery done at NYU “a number of years ago.”
“His doctors were fantastic,” she said, before she continued, “the idea that this city is filled with young people who thought they had a place to go where they can receive the highest care — and that place has now been shut to them, sickens me. Sickens me to my core,” she said.

Nixon’s comments came just after President Donald Trump signed an executive order banning federal funding for transgender sex-changes for minors. She vehemently pushed back against Trump’s administration, saying, “I want to say that the last two weeks have been an assault, a barrage — so many horrific things coming at us from every direction, you don’t even know where to look or how to try and block the horror that is coming in our direction.” (RELATED: Trans Kids Are The New Fashion Accessories Among Hollywood’s Most Deranged Moms)
“There are a lot of people here and we are mad as hell,” the actress shouted.
