Welcome to Screencaps, affectionately dubbed “America’s Best Daily Column” by our readers. We publish daily, mixing sports, pop culture, and thoughts from readers worldwide. This isn’t for the coastal elites, but we promise a week might just win you over. Our track record is pretty solid. Let’s have some fun.
Those SEC days of $20 handshakes to get into college football games feel like a distant memory… not that I’d ever have done that with my dad.
Nowadays, people like Blake Bible are going to some pretty wild lengths just to attend mid-season games that matter for playoffs. Apparently, Bible was caught “drinking a White Claw while wearing a uniform from Axis, the security company hired for events at the University of Tennessee, near the G10 ramp on Phillip Fulmer Way just before 3:30 p.m.”
The security company stated that Bible had actually stolen a shirt and a hat typically worn by their employees during games.
IS THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF LOSING ITS IDENTITY IN PURSUIT OF PROFITABILITY WITH THE EXPANSION TO 24 TEAMS?
I can’t help but worry—will a 24-team playoff even inspire college-aged guys to, I don’t know, maybe ‘allegedly’ swipe security uniforms just to see a game live? Seems like the prominent SEC and Big Ten teams could lose a few games and still make it into the playoffs.

Awkward vibes: even these two can’t look at each other – it’s done
Just days after Troy Aikman hinted at some tension with Joe Buck, they were back in the same broadcast booth last night, and let’s just say it felt cold. Aikman seemed all business. If you caught the broadcast, there was no light-hearted banter. He clocked in, did his job, and left.
WHO TAKES AIKMAN’S PLACE? I STILL THINK MCAFEE IS THE ONE. HE’S ALREADY TRAVELING WITH THE MONDAY NIGHT PREGAME SHOW AND DOING THE MNF ALT-CAST.
Excited to hear from new readers who found Screencaps on the Fox News homepage
• Keith R. writes: I’m 60 years old, from Pittsburgh. I’m not very tech-savvy, so I’m not entirely sure how I stumbled across your column, but I’m glad I did! I love reading it. If I can figure out how to subscribe, I definitely will. The best part I read so far was this morning. These days, I often listen to sports on mute. I find myself overwhelmed with frustration at nearly every announcer and analyst. It’s to the point where I struggle to enjoy the game because I’m too busy critiquing the commentary. If I could just watch the game with the skycast, I’d be happier. I really just need the down and distance and some crowd noise—everything else is just noise to me!
Kinsey: Thanks for sharing that, Keith. Honestly, the transition that OutKick made from being its own thing to being part of Fox News Digital’s sports division has been pretty interesting. Some readers have left for good; others stuck around. A good number of loyal Fox readers think I’m a fool and don’t really get the column, and, well, that’s alright too.
And then there’s people like Keith who give it a shot and end up enjoying it. That’s the plan working out, I suppose.
Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt’s brother has a new Swedish girlfriend
A round of applause for Knobel Hunt, who’s set to inherit the Kansas City Chiefs along with his sisters, Ava and Gracie. He often gets overshadowed, you know, since he’s out in New York as an investment banker—definitely good training for managing a billion-dollar NFL team.
On Monday, Knobel announced that there’s a new Swedish girlfriend in his life. Meanwhile, Gracie is preparing to marry Trent Green’s son, and Ava is cheering at SMU—quite a busy time for the Hunt family.
Is there a door-holding issue in America?
Not in the way you might think—I’m not suggesting people don’t hold doors; rather, are we holding doors for people who are too far away to really warrant it?
DO WE REALLY NEED TO HOLD THE DOOR FOR ANYONE MORE THAN A CAR LENGTH AWAY? MAYBE IT SHOULD BE A HALF-CAR LENGTH? IN THIS MEME, THE WOMAN IS ABOUT A LENGTH AND A HALF AWAY—LET HER DOOR CLOSE.
That’s all for this morning. The sun’s out, and for those NBA fans, the season is back.
Let’s get moving.
