Fan rushes toward Jannik Sinner on the court at Six Kings Slam

Jannik Sinner’s Unusual Encounter at Six Kings Slam

Jannik Sinner had an unexpected moment during Wednesday’s Six Kings Slam when a fan dashed onto the court and sought his Nike jacket. After defeating world No. 24 Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Netflix cameras were rolling, capturing the strange encounter as the presenters spoke in the background.

The fan managed to slip onto the court quietly and asked Sinner for a handshake. Sinner, looking slightly puzzled, engaged in conversation with him as the fan pointed at his jacket, seemingly offering Nike merchandise.

They chatted for a brief moment, but soon security stepped in to escort the fan away. Sinner, not overly flustered, simply threw his bag over his shoulder and walked off.

Alongside Tsitsipas, Sinner is competing in the Six Kings Slam, which also features stars like Novak Djokovic, Taylor Fritz, Carlos Alcaraz, and Alexander Zverev. The event is set to run through Saturday.

This isn’t the first time Sinner has faced an odd situation with a fan this year. At the US Open, during his round of 16 match against Alexander Bublik, a fan tried to access his bag from the stands, attempting to grab something. Fortunately, a security guard intercepted him before any items were taken.

Sinner mentioned that he had never experienced anything quite like it. Reflecting on the earlier incident, he said, “You know…I only had my racket, so I immediately checked to see if he took something. I always keep my phone and wallet close, and the security team does an amazing job, especially at larger tournaments. When unusual situations arise, it shows how effective they are.”
