Fani Willis Won’t Be Disqualified but Credibility Hurt

CBS News legal analyst Ricky Klieman said Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation” that Fulton County Prosecutor Fani Willis won’t be disqualified in the Georgia election interference case, but “probably won’t.” It hurt her credibility.”

Anchor Robert Costa said, “Fani Willis took the stand in Fulton County, Georgia in the last few days. Do you think she will be dismissed or disqualified in the Georgia election interference case?”

Kleeman said, “Well, it was despicable to watch the courtroom cameras on TV and hear about the personal and intimate relationship between District Attorney Fanny Willis and the prosecutor she hired (who at one time was her boyfriend).” It was a tough few days,” he said.

It added: “Given this despicable act and the fact that she decided to testify while she was angry, we suspect that her credibility has probably been compromised. The case will not be dismissed.” I don’t think it will disqualify her. But ultimately, even if she wins her case, politically speaking, this case will be a legal loss.”
