Fans are puzzled by the Jonas Brothers' performance during the World Series.

MLB fans were a bit surprised on Saturday when the Jonas Brothers showed up during Game 2 of the World Series, where the Dodgers managed to win against the Blue Jays.

It happened during the bottom of the fifth inning, with the score sitting at 1-1. They performed “I Can’t Lose” as part of the Stand Up to Cancer initiative, which saw players, staff, and fans holding signs to remember those impacted by cancer. Some people online seemed puzzled by the timing of the performance, rather than the campaign itself.

“This moment was so emotional… Do they really do that during a tied game in Game 2 of the World Series?? And then, out of the blue, have the Jonas Brothers sing it??” one user remarked.

Another fan mentioned, “The Jonas Brothers playing between innings in the World Series was definitely not on my bingo card.”

Yet another user, while capturing the essence of the situation, acknowledged that the brothers’ appearance felt “super random.” They pointed out that these special moments are not new, referencing that MLB has included a ‘Stand Up to Cancer’ break during other big events like the All-Star Game.

It’s become something of a tradition in MLB, especially during significant moments. The Jonas Brothers—Kevin, Joe, and Nick—also took a moment to honor their father, Kevin Jonas Sr., who is a cancer survivor.

After losing Game 1 with a score of 11-4, the Dodgers bounced back in Game 2, winning 5-1 at the Rogers Center. Notably, star pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto delivered another impressive performance, with eight strikeouts and a complete game.

Looking ahead, Game 3 of the World Series is set to take place on Monday in Los Angeles.
