Before the game, Walz was tailgating with fans outside the Big House.

“A little rain can't cancel the big Michigan-Minnesota game! And it can't stop students from making sure everyone on campus is registered to vote,” Walz said. posted on X.

When asked by the University of Michigan Democrats on the X show if he was excited for Michigan to beat Minnesota today, he burst out laughing, perhaps knowing it was unlikely.

“I'm excited to go to the Big House. I'm excited to watch this great game. I'm even more excited to see these young people excited about their future.” he answered.
