Fans have beef with NFL rules after Ravens’ interception was overturned

NFL fans weren't too happy with the officials' decision to overturn an interception by Brandon Stevens late in the first half of Thursday night's game between the Bengals and Ravens.

Joe Burrow was targeting a receiver in the end zone, but Stevens lured the Bengals quarterback to step in front of the pass and make what appeared to be an interception.

There was some question as to whether he could have made the catch on the inbounds; After officials reviewed the play The pass was ruled incomplete because it fell short of two feet on the inbounds.

Replays appeared to confirm that decision, but soccer fans were upset that one foot was dropped twice, arguing that it should have counted as a catch.

“Same foot twice = 2 feet” Warren Sharp I wrote it to X.

“Terrible fuck call, another wrong call that completely changed the game and they got a TD every single time. Single. Week. Bad call after bad call.” Another person wrote on social media:

“How many feet does he need? Three? Four?” a third person asked.

“It's absolute insanity for NFL officials to overturn Brandon Stevens' interception. I hate this sport.” Another X user chimed in.

Adding insult to injury for the Ravens, the Bengals added another point with 30 seconds left in the second half when Burrow completed a short 3-yard pass to Tanner Hudson for a score and a 14-7 lead.

So the Bengals and Ravens went to the locker room at halftime, and after scoring early in the third quarter, Cincinnati increased its lead to two touchdowns before the Ravens tried to fight back.

The Bengals entered the game looking for their fifth win of the year, while the Ravens were looking to improve to 7-3 on the season.

Thursday was the second matchup between the Ravens and Bengals this season.
