Sharon Osbourne recently shared that a particular band was avoided at Ozzy Osbourne’s Black Sabbath farewell concert, prompting fans to speculate on which group it might be.
One Reddit user guessed, “My guess is Motley Crue,” while another bluntly stated, “I’m thinking of KISS. They’re the most greedy band on the planet.” It seems the guessing game is quite lively.
Another fan chimed in, pondering if it might be Megadeth, noting the presence of other ‘Big 4’ bands and hinting at their upcoming album. Others suggested a mix of options, including Foo Fighters and Limp Bizkit.
This chatter follows Sharon’s comments to Billboard, where she expressed regret about the band’s absence during last Saturday’s show, citing a desire to “make a profit.” It’s interesting how money plays a role in these legendary events.
“It’s not the time to make a profit,” she later remarked, adding that she would reveal the band’s identity eventually, promising that people would be surprised.
Ozzy’s final show took place at Villa Park Stadium in Birmingham, England, the city where Black Sabbath originated in the late ’60s. The concert spanned 10 hours and featured performances by Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, and Jack Black. This grand farewell must have been a whirlwind of emotions.
Ozzy, diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2020, had earlier announced that he would step away from touring in 2023 after some significant spinal surgery the previous year. He expressed feelings of dissatisfaction after the operation and mentioned that he expected to only live for “the rest of the decade.”
