Following the 2025 NFL Draft’s ESPN broadcast, everyone is completely familiar with the people their network supports. The entire four-hour draft coverage led by lead draft analyst Mel Kipper appears to be a promotion for Shedeur Sanders, the son of NFL legend Deion Sanders.
However, despite their best efforts, ESPN failed to draft Sanders in the first round.
X users quickly posted delightful memes and messages that made them happy to laugh at “a four-letter network.”
Others were pleased to see Sanders slip into the second round as a general rule.
Others were furious that Sanders was not drafted in the first round.
But amid a fiery rhetoric, some took a humorous approach to explain what the team might have dropped Sanders from the draft board in the first round.
In reality, the team probably didn’t see Sanders as the value of the first round and took over him. Having an overly involved father probably didn’t help the chances of being drafted on the first night.
However, the silver lining is as follows: Round 2 features teams that require a quarterback. One of Sanders’ landing sites is in Las Vegas, where you can learn behind veteran Genosmith and work on what keeps him out of the first round.
