Fans Worried About Chaka Khan’s Odd Actions In The Clubhouse: “Is Chaka Experiencing Dementia?”

This past Sunday night, music legends Patti LaBelle, Chaka Khan, and Stephanie Mills graced the Bravo Clubhouse on the show Watch What Happens Live. However, many viewers noted that Khan seemed a bit uneasy during the episode.

Khan appeared nervous, fiddling with her hair and struggling to respond to some of Andy Cohen’s pressing questions. Things got awkward when she recounted a time she fell on stage. When asked about a certain label, instead of answering clearly, she responded, “I can’t remember. It was a long time ago.”

A moment later, she had trouble recalling Paul McCartney’s name when asked if they had ever met. “I met John [Lennon],” she said before trailing off and commenting about being in the studio. When Cohen suggested McCartney, her memory didn’t seem to spark much recognition. “Which do you know?” she asked.

The situation turned even more perplexing when two virtual fans asked about her recent duet with Dua Lipa on the song “Ain’t Nobody.” Initially, Khan remarked, “Dua and I didn’t sing the ‘no one’ song.” She tried to clarify, saying they ended up “jamming” together. “Chaka, do you want to sing with me?” she recalled Dua asking, to which she replied, “Yes!”

Fans didn’t hold back when discussing Khan’s peculiar demeanor on social media. Comments ranged from “Chaka can’t sit still and is acting oddly,” to concerns like, “Does Chaka have dementia? She doesn’t remember anything!” Another user added humorously, “Chaka is really somewhere else on another planet right now.” More voices chimed in, saying that her nervous energy became quite annoying for some viewers.

Watch What Happens Live airs on Bravo from Sunday to Thursday at 10 PM, and episodes are available to stream on Peacock the following day.
