Let’s have some fun today! Last week a photo of a guy with Paige Spiranac’s autograph tattooed on his arm went viral. We decided to search the internet to see what golf tattoos people are getting.
Some people love sports so much that they want to have the memories forever on their skin. Some people love sports so much that they have logos, players, and other moments tattooed on them. I have the University of Georgia “G” tattooed on my ankle, so I know the love people have for their teams.
Let’s take a look at how passionate these tattooed fans are about golf.
Golf Tattoo
The tattoo that inspired this post was created by a fan who got Spiranac to sign his arm. Signatures are permanent.
“I met Tony at an @xgolfamerica event and he asked me to sign his arm. An hour later he came back with a tattoo,” Spiranac wrote.
This tweet has been viewed over 1 million times and has caused a huge stir.
This post prompted us to ask our readers to submit their own tattoos, and we also went deep down the rabbit hole of Twitter (now known as X) in search of golf-themed tattoos, and here’s what we found:
Tiger Woods logo. Now that Tiger has stopped using the “TW” a new Sunday Red logo may be adopted.
Last year, another Tiger Woods-inspired piece made waves: a collage of Tiger with tattoos on his face, chains and a grill in his mouth, including his iconic club twirling from the 2009 Presidents Cup. It may be a little scary, but it’s a work of art.
Tiger won the Masters in 2019, and of course, someone recreated it on his calf.
A Phil Mickelson tattoo? Nolan apparently got Mickelson’s logo inked on the back of his calf after winning the 2021 PGA Championship. Awesome.
The fan had a Callaway logo tattooed on his chest, which the brand apparently noticed, and they even gifted him a bag with a set of clubs.
These are just a few of the tattoos we found.
