Week 5 is here in the NFL, and it's time for bye week. A lot of people plan their fantasy drafts around the bye week, but many people just draft the best option and hope the bye week comes.
This weekend, detroit lions, philadelphia eagles, Los Angeles Chargersand tennessee titans Everyone is sitting at home and enjoying the weekend off. When it comes to team defense in fantasy football, the Chargers were the best unit of the group, but many people may have drafted the Lions or Eagles and forgotten about the defense.
Here are some options to consider for week 5. All three are registered in less than 30% of fantasy leagues.
Seattle Seahawks (26% registration rate, vs. Giants)
They entered Week 3 as a top-10 fantasy scoring defense. We'll have to wait and see how they do against the Lions, but it's worth keeping an eye on Week 5 against the Giants. New York has Malik Nabors and Wan'Dale Robinson posting big fantasy totals, but the offense as a whole is still trying to get back on track. Daniel Jones is playing well enough, but he's going to have a stink in the game.
Denver Broncos (16% of members, vs. Raiders)
They have scored in double digits in three of the first four weeks of the season. They have forced five turnovers this season and have secured 12 sacks over the past two weeks combined. Now they have the Raiders offense, which has some upside but is woefully inconsistent. Gardner Minshew's shooting is always a plus for a fantasy defense that currently ranks in the top 10.
New England Patriots (3% of roster vs. Dolphins)
they are facing dolphin The team scored a combined 13 points in Weeks 2 and 3, but will be without quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. They are dealing with various injuries and have a hard time getting everything going. Considering this week's matchup, the Patriots are the perfect streaming option.
