The PGA Tour will remain on the West Coast for the second California tournament of the 2024 season as Torrey Pines hosts the Farmers Insurance Open.

Farmers Insurance Open Preview:
Max Homa returns to Torrey Pines as the second reigning champion looking to defend his title.
Homa has emerged on a strong note after winning the Nedbank Golf Challenge in November this year. This week will be his sixth title defense, and he has a fight to make it happen.
This week is huge for Aon Next 10 and Aon Next 5 players who haven't yet qualified for the signature event.
The five players (previously non-exempt) with the most FedEx Cup points during the Sony Open, American Express and this week will qualify for next week's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. obtain.
Michael Kim, who attended Torrey Pines High School, is sixth in the Aon Swing 5 rankings following a T6 finish at the American Express last week. Kim will make her eighth start at Torrey Pines and will look to advance to Pebble Beach.
Xander Schauffele's best result at the tournament was a T2 finish in 2021 after missing the cut in four of his first five starts. Now that he feels better about the course, this week could be his moment to win again on the PGA Tour. Last week, he posted a top-10 finish and challenged the top group, but he ran out of holes.
Keegan Bradley is a player to watch who finished second to Homa last year. He lost in a playoff to Grayson Murray at the Sony Open in Hawaii two weeks ago. Don't count out New Englanders either.
Last week's winner, amateur Nick Dunlap, was expected to play in the event, but surprisingly withdrew on Monday.
Collin Morikawa is also from Southern California and began the 2024 season in Sentry's T5. He finished solo in third place at this event last year, and Torrey Pines suits his game well.
Last year, Homa won with a total of 13 under par. While there will be plenty of birdies, Torrey's North and South courses at the Pines will challenge the player more than fans have seen in his first three weeks of the season.
