FBI director Kash Patel announced Friday morning that the agency recently arrested a Wisconsin judge, claiming illegal aliens would “avoid arrest.”
Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan has been arrested on suspicion of blockage, Patel said.
“They were asked if they had a warrant and the agents presented the warrant and their identification.”
The FBI Director wrote for X post The Dugan attempted to block “last week’s immigration arrest operation.”
“I believe Judge Dugan is allowing Eduardo Flores Luis, a federal agent who has been deliberately misdirected by subjects arrested in court, to avoid an arrest as an illegal alien,” he said.
“Thankfully, our agent chased the perp on foot and he has been detained ever since, but the judge’s obstruction has made it more dangerous for the public,” Patel writes.
He pointed out that the agency could “sharp right away” in Dugan’s arrest, thanking FBI Milwaukee for his “excellent work.”
Federal sources confirmed Dugan’s arrest Milwaukee Journal Sentinelsaid US Magistrate Stephen will appear in court on Friday before it gets dry.
Dugan’s arrest occurred in court, according to multiple Milwaukee County judges, news outlet reported.
Dugan declined a magazine request for Sentinel’s comments on Thursday’s investigation. Tuesday, her I said News Outlet: “Almost all facts about email ‘tips’ are inaccurate. ”
Flores Lewis, who is accused of helping authorities avoid, is reportedly a 30-year-old Mexican national facing three misdemeanor batteries. His pretrial meeting was scheduled for April 18th in Dugan’s court.
When immigrants and customs enforcement officers arrived at Dugan’s courtroom, the judge allegedly instructed Flores Lewis and his lawyer to escape through the side door leading to a private corridor that leaves the exit into the public area, sources told the Sentinel.
ICE agents had an arrest warrant, according to an email to the judge from Milwaukee County Chief Circuit Judge Carl Ashley.
“They were asked if they had a warrant and the agents presented the warrant and their identification,” the email reads. “They were asked to go to the Chief Judge’s office. They complied… They presented the warrants we had copied.”
Dugan responded to Ashley’s email on April 21, saying, “As a point of clarification below, no warrant was presented in the corridor on the sixth floor.”
ICE previously arrested two individuals in the same court in March and April.
The FBI did not respond to requests for comment from Journal Sentinel.
