Newly confirmed FBI director Kash Patel wants to develop a relationship with the UFC, and sources familiar with Patel's communications calls with the FBI Field Office this week suggest that the global MMA league will help station agents improve fitness.
Patel mentioned the idea Wednesday in a video conference with 55 field office supervisors, according to four sources who claim to be familiar with Cole.
During the call, Patel said that the next Associate FBI Director, Dan Bongino, was a huge UFC fan and persuaded him to try his training. The new director really likes the training he received and, according to sources, considers it worth it to FBI agents as well.
Some sources seem unsure that the agency's agents need help from Dana White.
“There's training that the FBI receives in physical arguments,” said a former Justice Department official. I saidspeak anonymously. “If Kash Patel believed that it should be strengthened, the answer is not to go to Donald Trump's best friend who runs the UFC.
“It's obviously motivated by Gritz and Glamour Show and Trump's friends.”
It is unclear whether Patel is hoping to partnerships to enhance FBI agents' combat skills and simply increase physical fitness, improve both, or enhance both. In either case, it is unclear how training provided by the most complete and balanced fighter jets is interpreted as negative.
Dana White's cozy relationship with Donald Trump causes some scrutiny, like from sources familiar with Cole, but the UFC has Important Over $12.3 billion. In other words, you don't need an FBI contract to survive.
sauce Claim Patel informed them that a dialogue with the UFC had already begun.
