FBI investigates progressive organizations in Charlie Kirk assassination inquiry

Sources involved in the investigation of the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, revealed that the FBI is looking into a left-wing group in Utah to determine if they have any connection to the alleged shooter.

Kirk was shot during a TPUSA event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, on September 10. Following the incident, he was rushed to a local hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. Tyler Robinson, 22, has emerged as a suspect in this case.

According to informants, the FBI is exploring whether this left-wing organization was aware of the shooter’s intentions ahead of time or offered him any kind of support. However, the specific groups being investigated have not been disclosed.

Robinson’s father expressed hopes that authorities would identify his son through surveillance footage released by the FBI.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox mentioned that Robinson has not been cooperating with law enforcement. “He hasn’t confessed or offered help to the authorities, but those around him are cooperating, which is significant,” Cox commented on ABC’s “This Week.”

Further details about Robinson suggest that others describe him as “very quiet,” which is, well, intriguing considering the serious nature of the charges against him.

Currently, Robinson is being kept under a “special clock” while a mental health evaluation is conducted. The Utah County Sheriff’s Office stated they’re closely monitoring him until the assessment is concluded.

Once Robinson is deemed fit, he will go through a classification process to establish where he will be detained. Authorities assured that he will be under continuous observation from mental health, medical, and custody staff throughout his time in detention.
