FBI Director Christopher Wray said the bureau is putting the “full resources” of its resources into investigating the assassination attempt against former President Trump.
Wray made the remarks while speaking at a cyber summit in the nation's capital, Aspen. The FBI is among several federal and state agencies that have opened an investigation into Sunday's assassination attempt on President Trump.
“I want to talk a few minutes about what happened over the weekend in West Palm Beach,” Wray said. “For the second time in just over two months, we have witnessed what appears to be an attempt to attack our democracy and our democratic process.”
“I am relieved that former President Trump is safe and I want the American people to know that FBI agents are working diligently to uncover the truth. The investigation is ongoing, but since it has only been in place for a few days there is only so much we can say at this point,” he added.

“What I can say is that we are putting the full resources of the FBI into this investigation, from detectives to national security resources, from tactical support to evidence response teams, from forensic scientists to operational technology personnel. Together, we are working around the clock on this investigation,” he said.
Who is Ryan Wesley Routh: Trump Golf Club Suspect
Wray's comments come as multiple federal and state law enforcement agencies are investigating Sunday's incident, in which the suspect, Ryan Wesley Routh, is accused of trying to assassinate Trump and lying in wait on the golf course for about 12 hours before being discovered by the Secret Service.

Acting Director of the Secret Service Ronald Rowe traveled to West Palm Beach immediately after the incident, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has also ordered Attorney General Ashley Moody to open a state-level investigation.
The day after the assassination attempt, Psaki and Warren agreed that Trump's actions “put all of us at risk.”
Routh remains in custody and is charged with federal gun crimes. His next court appearance is scheduled for September 1.

Suspected assassin, Ryan Routh, was arrested by police in Florida.
