FBI Investigation into Charlie Kirk’s Assassination
FBI Director Kash Patel has provided insights into the bureau’s investigation regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
During his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, Patel indicated that the FBI’s focus extends to “far more” individuals than the 20 associated with a chat involving 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, who is allegedly responsible for Kirk’s death. This development follows the latest findings connected to Robinson.
“We’re running them all,” Patel stated.
Patel also confirmed that the investigation would encompass everyone linked to that Discord chat. Missouri Republican Senator Josh Hawley referred to a public report revealing that the chat, which included Robinson, had up to 20 more participants. Patel affirmed that there are indeed “more” individuals currently under investigation.
“It’s more than that,” he emphasized, reiterating, “We’re running them all.”
In a matter of days, the FBI has begun to unveil evidence that hints at the political and ideological factors motivating the assassination. It was also noted over the weekend that Robinson resides with his trans-identified boyfriend, who is a biological male claiming to be female. Moreover, Utah Republican Governor Spencer Cox disclosed that an ideological message was found inscribed on some ammunition discovered at the crime scene.
Additionally, Patel confirmed that DNA evidence matching Robinson’s was located in both the vehicle rooftop where the shooter is believed to have operated and in firearms retrieved from the woods near the shooting site.
As for the legal proceedings, Robinson was officially charged last week with Kirk’s assassination at the Utah Valley University campus. He faces several serious allegations, including aggravated murder, obstruction of justice, and felony discharge of firearms.
At just 31 years old, Kirk leaves behind his wife, Erika, and their two children.
