The FBI has put forth a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the capture of Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA.
This announcement was made on X by the FBI on Thursday afternoon.
“The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information that leads to identification and arrest of the individual responsible for the murder of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah on September 10, 2025.”
Those with information are urged to call 1-800-CALL-FBI or visit their website to share photos and videos.
Kirk’s assailant was seen relaxing the day after the incident while speaking at an event called part of the “Prove the Wrong Round Table” tour. The FBI has shared images of individuals they would like to question.
In the released photo, the suspect is described as an adult male wearing a black long-sleeved shirt with graphics, blue jeans, a dark hat, and black sunglasses.
FBI Director Kash Patel mentioned on Wednesday that the subject in custody was apprehended following interrogations by law enforcement. He reiterated that the investigation is ongoing, and further information would be shared for transparency.
Reports indicate that the assailant had motives linked to discussions about transgender issues and ANTIFA. The weapon used was identified as a bolt-action rifle, which police found in a wooded area.
On Thursday morning, President Donald Trump announced that Charlie Kirk would be honored posthumously with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award in the United States.
“Our thoughts are with his wife, Erica, and their lovely children—whose support has always been remarkable. We miss him dearly, and the inspiration he provided countless individuals, especially the youth, will continue to resonate,” he stated.
Trump expressed his pleasure in announcing the upcoming award and stated that the date for the ceremony would be revealed soon, adding, “Kirk was truly an inspiration for many, a champion of freedom and a role model for his generation.”
