In November, local news outlets City The New York City Bureau of Investigation has launched an investigation into Greco after allegations surfaced that he used his government position for personal gain. According to the paper, Greco allegedly guaranteed the technical staff a management position on the condition that they volunteered to renovate the kitchen. The worker claimed the city hired him after the work was completed but later fired him because he refused to do additional renovation work on city time.

Adams spokesman Charles Luttwak said: City The tech worker’s claims were untrue, claiming he was a “disgruntled former employee” who was fired for “documented reasons.”

“Mayor Adams has known Winnie for as long as she has known him as a loyal public servant and advocate for the community. I deny it,” Lutvak said.

The Associated Press reported that Greco is at least the third Adams aide targeted by federal investigators.

The FBI raided the Brooklyn home of Brianna Suggs, a top fundraiser for Ms. Adams, in early November, Blaze News previously reported. The mayor’s campaign is under investigation for allegedly receiving foreign donations from the Turkish government through straw donors.

Mr Adams claimed he was “not familiar” with KSK Construction Group, which is at the center of the investigation. He said his campaign would cooperate with any investigation. The mayor has not been charged with a crime.

“Our administration always follows the law and always expects all employees to adhere to the strictest ethical guidelines,” an Adams spokesperson said. “As we have repeatedly stated, we do not comment on matters pending review, but we will fully cooperate with any ongoing review.”
