New Developments in Nancy Guthrie’s Disappearance
The FBI has found more images from the motion-activated camera at Nancy Guthrie’s Arizona home. Unfortunately, there isn’t any footage of the night she vanished unexpectedly.
According to sources, the camera captured various shots of her Tucson residence, including the swimming pool and backyard, prior to the 84-year-old’s disappearance, which was reported on February 1st. Still, officials have indicated that the footage does not reveal anything alarming, despite seeing several individuals in the vicinity leading up to her abduction.
Local police were observed searching through Guthrie’s yard shortly after her kidnapping, but it struck officials as odd that nothing was recorded that night.
The extensive search for Guthrie, mother to “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, has now reached its fifth week without any leads. She was reported missing after not attending church, and intriguing evidence from her doorbell camera showed a masked man lingering near her entrance that evening, believed to be her abductor.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, overseeing the case, recently shared his thoughts on why they think she was specifically targeted, suggesting this individual might strike again.
He expressed, “We believe we know why this happened and that it was targeted, yet we can’t be entirely certain.” Nanos cautioned the public, urging them not to assume they are safe because of these events. It would be unwise to let one’s guard down.
In addition, federal investigators have questioned staff at a Mexican restaurant where Guthrie previously filmed a segment with her daughter to see if they noticed anything unusual during that time. However, no solid information has emerged from those inquiries yet.
