FBI SWAT Teams Raided Wisconsin For Major Cartel and Gang Operation

FBI Takes Action Against Wisconsin Gang

This morning, federal agents launched a significant operation against a prominent gang in Wisconsin, resulting in the arrest of 22 individuals and the seizure of various drugs, firearms, and vehicles. This crackdown, named “Operation Chalkline,” was spearheaded by the FBI’s Milwaukee division, with considerable support from 14 SWAT teams and numerous law enforcement agencies, focusing on a violent criminal network in Milwaukee and Racine.

On Wednesday, the FBI disclosed details of a major multi-agency operation targeting gangs linked to cartels operating within Wisconsin. This concerted effort led to federal charges against 22 people, following the execution of 24 search warrants. The operation yielded 4 kilograms of cocaine, 260 grams of fentanyl, 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine, 6 pounds of marijuana, 23 firearms, and three vehicles, according to a statement from the Milwaukee FBI office.

FBI Director Kash Patel shared updates about the raid on social media, describing it as “one of the most crucial violent gang investigations ever.” He also commended the law enforcement team for their efforts, calling their work “a great job.”

Leading the investigation was the Special Agent in Charge from the Mount Pleasant Police Department, along with members of the FBI’s Milwaukee Regional Safe Streets Task Force. This task force included officers from various local law enforcement agencies, such as the Caledonia Police Department and Racine County Sheriff’s Office.

In a post on X, FBI officials emphasized their commitment to tackling violent crime in collaboration with local law enforcement to maintain public safety across Milwaukee, Racine, and the broader Wisconsin area.

Earlier in September, the FBI Milwaukee reported on another operation led by ICE, which resulted in the arrest of 21 undocumented individuals in Manitowoc County. Nine of those arrested were allegedly involved in the sexual assault and human trafficking of underage American girls.

According to FBI officials, violent gang activity in Wisconsin has connections to major international cartels, although they did not specify which cartel was associated with the gang in question.
