FBI Uncovers Suspected Chinese Scheme to Create Fake Mail-In Ballots for 2020 Election

FBI Raises Concerns Over Alleged Chinese Scheme

FBI Director Kash Patel presented an Intelligence Report to Congress on Monday, indicating that China might have mass-produced counterfeit American driver’s licenses intended for fraudulent mail-in voting during the 2020 election.

Patel reportedly supplied this information to Chuck Grassley (R-IA), the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Grassley had expressed concerns about the FBI not fully investigating the claims, even though he believed there was evidence supporting the use of fake licenses.

In a statement, Patel acknowledged Grassley’s efforts, stating, “Thanks to Chairman Grassley’s oversight work and partnership, the FBI continues to provide unprecedented transparency to the People’s Bureau.”

The FBI noted that they located the documents requested by Grassley, which detail surprising allegations pertaining to the 2020 presidential election. Specifically, this involves claims from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) about producing counterfeit driver’s licenses to facilitate fraudulent email-in voting.

While reports dating back to August 2020 have yet to be thoroughly examined, then-FBI Director Christopher Wray indicated at that time that there were no known plots involving foreign interference in the election.

Patel mentioned, “As per Chairman Grassley’s request, I immediately declassified the material and provided the documents for further review.”

An official who reviewed the document emphasized that the FBI had recently acquired confidential information suggesting that the Chinese government was producing and exporting fake U.S. driver’s licenses to create identities for voters among Chinese residents in the U.S., enabling them to participate in bogus mail-in voting. Intelligence sources claimed that this scheme was particularly designed to benefit Biden.

While it was suggested that the sources should be reinterviewed for further validation, authorities also cited that U.S. Customs and Border Protection intercepted nearly 20,000 counterfeit licenses around the same time the Intelligence Report surfaced.
