It’s astonishing that the Disney Grooming Syndicate utilizes public airwaves, yet still manages to broadcast two hours of left-leaning content daily without repercussions.
Disney targets over half the nation with unyielding criticism five days a week on ABC, featuring shows like Jimmy Kimmel’s The View.
That may change soon.
According to a report from New York Post:
The FCC is preparing a ruling indicating that The View does not qualify as a legitimate news program, a significant shift that would subject the Disney-owned talk show to equal time requirements for federal candidates.
Moreover, the FCC plans to heighten its investigation into Disney’s broadcasting license, potentially moving towards an administrative hearing that could impact ABC stations in key markets like New York and Los Angeles.
Disney seems to want everyone to accept that The View, a platform where privileged individuals label Republicans with extreme terms, qualifies as “news” and should thus avoid the long-standing FCC rules on equal time.
Really?
It’s expected that Disney will resist FCC efforts as fiercely as they protect their interests. If they manage to evade the “news” classification, equal time rules would still apply to The View. This means if a Democratic figure is featured during election time, their opponent should receive equal airtime. The same applies during the general election: a Republican challenger must also be presented.
This is warranted. Corporations shouldn’t exploit public resources like airwaves to endorse particular candidates, potentially raking in millions in exposure.
Disney seems to think they can sidestep this rule by merely labeling The View as a news outlet, despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
Consider how questionable Disney’s intentions are. The idea of giving space to opposing political views appears so unappealing to them that they would resort to deception and possibly spend vast sums fighting the FCC in court.
Disney is converting ABC into what resembles a pro-Democrat PAC, and it’s high time for this to stop.
