On Wednesday, Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) mentioned the 234-page report released Tuesday.

She said corruption was far more prevalent than originally thought, adding that a toxic culture had been pushed from the top down.

FDIC Chairman Martin Grunberg apologized to staff on Tuesday, saying the report presented a “sobering look” at the company’s culture.

“I would like to once again express my deepest regrets to those who have experienced sexual harassment or other misconduct at the FDIC,” Gruenberg wrote. “I would also like to apologize for my inadequacies.”

He assured employees that he would implement the report’s recommendations.

Ernst recommended that Joe Biden order a Justice Department investigation.
