FDNY fire truck involved in crash in NYC Thanksgiving night

On Thanksgiving night, an FDNY fire truck was involved in an accident that left a trail of destruction in East Harlem, destroying a car, overturning a city bike on the sidewalk, and leaving one civilian hospitalized.

According to the FDNY, the accident involving the truck from Ladder 43 occurred near 112th Street and Third Avenue around 8:45 p.m.

Photos from the scene showed a white minivan colliding with another parked vehicle.

Images also showed a row of damaged City bikes lying on the ground and a fire truck that appeared to crash through part of a black fence on the sidewalk before coming to rest in a courtyard outside an apartment complex.

The FDNY said one civilian was taken to Harlem Hospital. Their conditions were not immediately known.
