FDNY firetruck strikes, kills cyclist outside NYC park

Authorities say FDNY Firetruck from the elite company attacked and killed a cyclist outside a Queens park on Saturday.

Officers said the victim’s body was in his 50s – he said he was in his 50s but was crushed under a rescue company four truck and declared dead at the scene.

The photo shows the seat covering the back wheel of a service vehicle, where the victim’s body is still trapped.

Police said the truck had lights and sirens on as they answered the phone just after 4pm on Saturday.

Police sources say a cyclist came out from behind the car and plunged into the side of the truck, flying around from behind the car, when the truck was converting to Juniper Boulevard alongside Juniper Valley Park.

Locals passing by saw two firefighters still on the scene. One seemed emotionally influenced.

“We stopped by a red light and there was an FDNY truck,” Miguel Vega, 41, told the Post.

“And then there were two firefighters standing on the road, one of them seemed shocked and worried, shocked,” Bella said.

“I feel very bad for everyone. For the people in the fire truck, for everyone involved,” he said.

Founded in 1931, Rescue Company 4 is one of the most elite companies in FDNY. According to Hall of Flame.

The renowned force lost eight firefighters on September 11th, responding to the World Trade Center.

An investigation into a tragic traffic incident is underway.
