In a 2-1 decision, the court majority indicated that, contrary to the opinion handed down by the district court, it did not believe the law was intended to harm or discriminate against transgender people.
The two justices who voted with the majority, Justices Britt Grant and Robert Lack, were both appointed by the 45-justice bench.Number President Donald J. Trump.
Florida's law will remain in effect until the court makes a final decision on its constitutionality.
