Federal authorities arrest 5 illegal alien fugitives wanted for murder

According to recent reports, Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Office of Enforcement and Deportation has detained five illegal immigrant fugitives who were wanted on murder charges in the United States and abroad. press release.

ERO Houston and ERO Waco spent two weeks locating and arresting the wanted individuals. ICE reported that five illegal immigrants were wanted on suspicion of murder or attempted murder.

One of the suspects, a 38-year-old Honduran national, was wanted in Mexico on multiple murder charges. Federal authorities detained him after receiving a tip that he was living in the Houston area. ICE said he was accused of killing two gang members “during a failed attempt to hijack an illegal narcotics shipment.”

Authorities also arrested a 42-year-old Honduran man wanted on a murder charge in North Carolina, who fled to Houston after the incident, ERO Atlanta reported.

ERO Houston and the Splendora Police Department worked together to arrest a 21-year-old Mexican national wanted on a murder charge in Veracruz, Mexico. ERO Transportation Assistants in Mexico City and the U.S. Marshals Service notified federal law enforcement that the suspect was in Splendora, Texas, illegally.

Another 41-year-old Mexican national, wanted on a murder charge in Durango, Mexico, was arrested by U.S. authorities in Waco, Texas.

“The ability of ERO Houston and ERO Waco fugitive investigators to quickly translate information into actionable leads and apprehend and remove dangerous alien fugitives and other criminals from our communities is unmatched throughout the nation,” said Brett A. Bradford, director of ERO Houston Field Office.

“In one case, they were able to locate and apprehend an illegally incarcerated murderer in just seven hours, which is nearly unprecedented given all the logistical hurdles and oversight required to safely detain such a dangerous fugitive,” Bradford continued. “The work they do every day to uphold the integrity of our nation’s immigration laws and enhance public safety in their communities is truly inspiring and a testament to their unwavering commitment and dedication to their work.”
