A federal judge has blocked implementation of President Joe Biden’s latest revisions to Title IX education rules in six more states after a middle school girl in West Virginia sued the state for being forced to compete in school sports with boys who identify as transgender girls.
The injunction prevents Biden’s regulations from going into effect in Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, Virginia and West Virginia.
The latest ruling comes less than a week after a federal judge in Louisiana blocked the rule from going into effect in four states – Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana and Idaho – that had jointly sued to block it.
Last week, U.S. District Judge Terry A. Doughty called the new rules an “abuse of power” and a “threat to democracy.”

The new ruling adds fuel to arguments that Biden’s changes are “impossible to reconcile” with the original intent of federal education regulations. Fox News report.
“However, despite society’s enduring recognition of biological differences between men and women and the fundamental right to an individual’s bodily privacy, the final rule requires schools to allow biological males access to female private spaces and females access to male private spaces in educational settings entirely based on an individual’s subjective gender identity,” the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky said in a decision released Monday.
“This outcome is not only inconsistent with Title IX, but also with broader guarantees of educational protection for all students,” the court added.
This brings the total number of states where Biden’s restrictions are temporarily blocked to 10.

Women’s sports advocate Riley Gaines celebrated the win.
“This is a huge victory. I don’t think we saw this kind of decisive action two years ago. The gender ideological house of cards is crumbling. And it’s crumbling fast,” she said.
“I hope that generations after me will have the same opportunities to compete and succeed as I was fortunate to have for most of my athletic career, but that won’t be the case if it’s up to Biden and progressive Democrats.”
I am so grateful to our incredible attorneys general who are fighting this issue in the courts. @AGTennessee Daniel Cameron KY Jason Miyares VA Morrissey AGToddRokita Ohio A.G.
Currently, women’s sports are protected in 10 states (the six mentioned above plus Mississippi, Louisiana, Montana and Idaho).
