US District Judge Randolph Moss has granted “administrative stays” blocking the deportation of eight asylum seekers facing the threat of violence in his country.
Asylum seekers include four families fleeing the Taliban, a man who claims he was imprisoned and tortured in Egypt for his political views, and a native of Ecuador, who says his policeman's husband can kill her. The women are included, Politico reported.

Lawyers representing asylum seekers say the Trump administration is breaking the law and doesn't give people with a “trustworthy fear” of persecution and violence the opportunity to gain legal status.
Obama's appointee Judge Moss said the court needed more information on the situation of these asylum seekers. According to Politico, he awarded the Department of Justice in the middle of the night Friday and provides details about them.

In their complaints, lawyers representing asylum seekers argue that President Donald Trump's declaration of “guaranteed protection against aggression” is “as illegal as unprecedented.”

The declaration issued on January 20th cites health, public safety and national security risks as reasons to take action. Furthermore, the declaration states that many immigrants who have entered the United States illegally increase these risks.

“And the risks associated with these issues are greatly exacerbated when the number of aliens illegally crossing tropical borders increases to a level that hinders actual operational control of the border.”
The authorities argue that all individuals do not have the capacity to ensure that they are crossing the border and verify the criminal history of relevant national security risks.”
The Department of Homeland Security did not immediately respond to a Fox News request for comments.
