A federal judge was skeptical of President Donald Trump's administration's efforts to ban access to federal data and fire federal workers when he heard the remarks from the bench on Monday.
Judge Tanya Chukkan has yet to issue a ruling in the lawsuit, which is linked to billionaire Elon Musk, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and efforts to curb government spending. Chutkan says he will control the case within 24 hours.
The issue with the incident is the actions of Doge within seven federal agencies, including the Department of Personnel Management, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Health and Human Services, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Transport and Commerce.
The attorney general of 14 states claim that Musk and Trump's administrations are engaged in illegal administration overreach, but Chukkan says she hasn't been convinced up until now.

“The greatest threat to democracy is no greater than the accumulation of state power in a single, unelected individual,” the lawsuit against the Doge state poses.

Chutkan says state lawyers have yet to establish that there is imminent harm that can be avoided by suppressing Doge.
“What I'm hearing is really serious and annoying…but you say these are what we're hearing,” she said. “I haven't seen it before.”

New Mexico Attorney General Raul Trez is the state of Arizona, Michigan, Maryland, Maryland, Minnesota, California, Nevada, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Oregon, Washington The lawsuit was filed in which state and Hawaii officials joined in.
The state group is seeking temporary restraining orders to prevent more federal shootings in Musk and Doji recommendations.

However, Chukkan was not exclusively hostile to the state's debate as it was seen criticizing Trump administration representatives.

“My friends offered nothing to show that Elon Musk had the formal or actual authority to make government decisions on his own,” said DOJ Attorney. Harry Glover said.
Chukkan retorted, “I think you're stretching too far. I don't agree with you.”
