Fergie shares a heartfelt moment with her Black Eyed Peas 'brothers' at the 2026 AMAs

Emotional Reunion at the AMAs

Fergie had a heartfelt moment with her Black Eyed Peas “brothers” at the American Music Awards in Las Vegas this week. At 51, the “London Bridge” singer took the stage alongside former bandmates Will.i.am, Apl.de.ap, and Tabu to accept the award for Best Nostalgic Song.

“What a moment,” she reflected, celebrating the success of their 2010 track “Rock That Body” with these long-time friends. Holding the hands of Will.i.am and Apl.de.ap, Fergie expressed gratitude towards fans for their TikTok and Instagram videos featuring their music.

It’s interesting, really. She mentioned, “Sometimes the content you create is so big, and the emotions are so big for me that it’s overwhelming to watch. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.” It’s clear she feels deeply connected to her fans.

Fergie even revealed that her 12-year-old son, Axl, has their song on his playlist, which must be a mix of exciting and surreal for her. “Hey Axl! Rock That Body!” she shouted out cheerfully.

The Black Eyed Peas originated in 1992, after Will.i.am and Apl.de.ap had performed together as Atban Klan. Over the years, they created countless hits, but there were whispers of Fergie leaving the group, which became a reality in 2017 when Will.i.am confirmed her departure.

She had stepped away to focus on solo music but returned with her album “The Dutchess” in 2006. There were other projects, but Fergie hasn’t been part of the group since 2017. During that time, she announced her split from Josh Duhamel, and they finalized their divorce in 2019. They seem to maintain a good co-parenting relationship, which Duhamel appreciates, although he once felt overshadowed by her fame.

Recently, Fergie also made waves on social media with the celebration of a new baby girl. Life certainly seems to be giving her a lot to feel grateful for.
