Fetterman slams anti-Israel agitators, says disruption ‘makes you an a–hole’

Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pennsylvania, posted a strongly worded message on Tuesday condemning anti-Israel agitators who have recently blocked bridges and yelled at Starbucks employees and customers.

Fetterman was responding to a video posted Sunday that showed protesters carrying megaphones and wearing Palestinian flags and other attire entering a Starbucks in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with the words, “Starbucks, Starbucks, you can’t hide.” We can’t do it, we can’t do it until we liberate Palestine,” he was shown shouting.

“I don’t know who needs to hear this, but there’s no justice in closing bridges or blaming customers at Starbucks. It just makes you a hole.” Fetterman wrote. “We call on Hamas to return all hostages to their home countries and surrender.”

Several other large protests have surfaced across the United States after hundreds of anti-Israel agitators blocked traffic along California’s Golden Gate Bridge and in Oakland on Monday.

In Fetterman’s home state of Pennsylvania, dozens of protesters waved Palestinian flags during a teach-in and disrupted traffic during rush hour in Center City on Monday, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported. Philadelphia police told the newspaper that another coordinated group of anti-Israel protesters led a motorcade down Interstate 95, and 67 people were arrested on charges of interstate obstruction.

The demonstration came after Iran fired hundreds of drones, ballistic missiles and cruise missiles at Israel in attacks over the weekend. The Israeli military said 99% of the drones and missiles were intercepted by Israel’s own air defenses and fighter jets, as well as in coordination with a U.S.-led coalition of partners.
