A new Gallup poll shows Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (Democratic) and Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance (Republican) viewed positively as running mates for their respective parties' presidential candidates. were less than half of registered voters.

Thirty-seven percent said they viewed the Ohio senator favorably, while 44% said they viewed him unfavorably.
CBS News will host a vice presidential debate between Walz and Vance on Tuesday night. The debate will be moderated by “Face the Nation” host Margaret Brennan and anchor Norah O'Donnell.
