The surviving WBA World Lightweight Champion will defend the title against the current WBA Super Featherweight title holder in Brooklyn tonight.
Gervonta “Tank” Davis is undefeated with 30 wins (28 of which are due to knockouts), and has held the belt since 2019, but last fought in June 2024 when he defeated Frank Martin in a knockout in the eighth round.
This is the first time Lamont Roach fights in his lightweight class. The 25-1-1 boxer has previously defended his title and now moves up the weight class. He's in today's fight as a loser, but Davis is still a familiar opponent as the two boxers grew up fighting each other on the amateur circuit.
In addition to Davis vs. Roach, the Undercard features seven fights, including another title fight.
