Feds crack down on voter fraud ahead of midterms

In a recent report, Homeland Security agents are stepping up efforts to arrest immigrants allegedly involved in voter fraud, as noted during a ride-along with a Fox News correspondent. The focus is on maintaining election integrity as the midterms approach.

In an interesting turn of events, a noncitizen from the Philippines residing in Pennsylvania has admitted to voting illegally in the 2024 election, having registered just weeks prior to Election Day, according to federal prosecutors.

Evelyn Miller, a 37-year-old from Emmaus, Pennsylvania, pleaded guilty on September 16 to her actions. Although she is a lawful permanent resident, she is not a U.S. citizen, which means she was ineligible to vote in federal elections.

The investigation into Miller began after the Department of Homeland Security received tips regarding possible illegal voting in Lehigh County. According to reports, Miller registered online on October 9, 2024, and subsequently voted in person on November 5.

Federal agents conducted an interview with Miller at her home in July 2025, where she confirmed that she had registered online and then visited her polling place to cast her vote.

Miller had gained lawful permanent resident status shortly before the election, which was during the Biden administration. DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin remarked on the case, stating, “This alien from the Philippines pleaded guilty to illegally voting in the 2024 election in Pennsylvania.” He emphasized that American elections are only for American citizens.

Alongside Miller’s case, the Justice Department is investigating a wider range of election-related offenses tied to the same election cycle. Recently, federal prosecutors announced charges against 16 individuals in various states for illegal voting and similar crimes.

Miller’s sentencing is set for December 16, where she could face up to a year in prison, a year of supervised release, and a $100,000 fine, as confirmed by federal authorities.
