Finding the right quarterback piece critical for navigating Giants future

So, if the Giants were to take a quarterback high in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, would that be some kind of franchise reset? After losing too many times in 2023 and losing even more this season, general manager Joe Schon and head coach Brian Daboll feel an urgency to right the ship and produce a winning season. Will I have to readjust it?

After all, rookie quarterbacks, even highly-touted players, usually need a grace period to adjust to the NFL. There are almost always early struggles for players and teams, sometimes lasting weeks, sometimes months. It's not uncommon for the entire first season to develop into a learning experience, embracing the lump now for a better tomorrow.

The Giants, coming off a 2-8 bye week that felt like a doomed season suspension, need an improbable win over the next seven games to get closer to last year's disastrous 6-11 record. You'll need to fit it in. For dumping. Adding Shedule Sanders, Cam Ward, and Jalen Milroe may be a long-term solution, but after five games they're still in bad shape and need to quickly heal the wounds they sustained during their losing streak. Probably not.

Or, if it's the right person, the Giants could jump right on and look like a capable team.
