Fire breaks out in Atlanta building housing Jon Osoff’s office

Two people were seriously injured Saturday afternoon when an electrical fire broke out at an Atlanta high-rise that houses the offices of a Democratic senator.

Atlanta police were called to 271 17th Street in the Atlantic Station neighborhood after reports of a possible explosion at a building that houses Sen. Jon Ossoff’s office, law office and residence.

The senator has not publicly addressed the incident.

An electrical contractor working on the 15th floor suffered a “severe electric shock” and two people were hospitalized. fire officials told 11 Alive..

The building is located across from Overtime Elite Arena and near the Hilton Hotel.

The newspaper has contacted the Atlanta Fire Department for comment.
