Fired MLB manager Gabe Kapler is now a thirst-trapping TikTok star

Former Giants and Phillies manager Gabe Kapler has started a new side hustle that no one expected.

Kapler has gained 62,000 followers on TikTok since posting five tips for a healthy new year on January 1, offering exercise and nutrition advice.

Women on TikTok seem to be Kapler’s biggest fans, with the top comment on his original post being “Thanks, babe… no, Gabe,” alongside many others who were happy to see him on the social media platform.

The video of Kapler changing into his black suit has garnered a staggering 1.3 million views and has prompted comments full of praise for the former MLB player and manager.

But Kapler is assistant general manager of the 21-41 Marlins, so setting thirst traps isn’t his actual full-time job.

Kapler was fired by the Giants following a poor 2023 season.

He previously managed the Phillies for two seasons, compiling a respectable 295-248 record.

Another commenter said Caper is her “new TikTok crush 😍,” while another praised her, saying she was “illegal this amazing.”

Kapler also garnered 1.1 million views for another video in which he simply drinks whiskey and coffee in two different situations.

Another female commentator said: “Gabe doing a Thirst Trap wasn’t on my bingo card 😂.”

“This guy’s hands are pretty mesmerizing,” another fan commented on an extended video of Kapler cooking a rib-eye steak with truffle butter.

Kapler has garnered nearly 5.4 million likes on his account, despite only posting 16 times.

But with the Marlins currently in last place and certain to make a move heading into the trade deadline, he’s expected to have less free time in the coming weeks.

Left-handed starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo is expected to be in high demand, according to multiple reports.
