FireHouse lead singer C.J. Snare dead at 64

CJ Snare, lead singer of the ’80s hair metal band Firehouse and creator of hits such as “Don’t Treat Me Bad” and “Love of a Lifetime,” died suddenly on Friday. . He was 64 years old.

The band mourned Snare’s death in a statement, calling it “a sad day for rock and roll.” on facebook Sunday.

“It is with great sadness that we announce to the world the loss of our brother, CJ Snare, a rock and roll warrior, lead vocalist, and founding member of Firehouse,” it read. “CJ Snare passed away suddenly on Friday night, April 5, 2024, at his home. He was 64 years old.”

“As you all know, CJ was recovering from surgery and was expected to return to the band’s stage this summer,” the statement said, adding that the entire group is “completely shocked by CJ’s untimely passing.” .

“CJ was without a doubt one of the greatest vocal talents of this generation, touring the world non-stop with Firehouse for the past 34 years,” the statement added. “Our deepest condolences go out to the entire Snare family, Katherine Little, her friends, and all her beloved fans around the world.”

“‘Reach for the Sky’ CJ,” the post concludes, referring to the 1992 song of the same name. “You will be forever missed by your family, friends, fans, and bandmates. You are now singing with the angels.”

Several fans of the group also shared their shock over Snare’s sudden death.
