first MLB 50-50 season and best game ever?

Somehow, Shohei Ohtani still has the ability to surprise us.

The most uniquely gifted player in baseball history achieved an unprecedented feat (again) in unforgettable fashion, becoming the first player to hit 50 home runs and steal 50 bases in the same season and the first player to hit three home runs and steal two bases in the same game in the Dodgers' 20-4 win at Miami. Ohtani went 6-for-6 with two doubles and 10 RBIs.

The two-time MVP, who is all but guaranteed to win a third as he becomes the first full-time DH to win the award, now has 51 home runs and 51 stolen bases and will look to add to those numbers with nine games remaining. Six of the Dodgers' remaining nine games are against the Rockies (who have the worst team ERA in MLB), and the regular season will end at Coors Field, the most hitter-friendly stadium in the league.

Ohtani set the single-season home run record for the storied franchise, founded in Brooklyn in 1883, and the Japanese superstar will soon be making his postseason debut.
