Popular fitness influencer Miguel Ángel Aguilar has died three months after being shot during a robbery in Los Angeles, California. He was 43 years old.
The social media star, who boasted a whopping 50,000 followers across online platforms, passed away on Saturday from injuries sustained in the Sept. 13 incident, his fitness brand, Selfmade Training Facility, announced.
“We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our founder and CEO, Miguel Ángel Aguilar,” the company said. Instagram post Read Saturday.
“Following the tragic events of September 13, 2024, Miguel passed away peacefully on December 21, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones, after a brave three-month battle. ”

The caption added that Aguilar “revolutionized personal training and inspired countless people to pursue their fitness and entrepreneurial goals” through his social media platforms.
“While we mourn the loss of our dear friend and leader, we also celebrate his extraordinary life and the positive impact he had on so many people. Miguel's spirit lives on through our self-built training facility. Wow,” the post continued.

Aguilar was involved in an attempted robbery in Los Angeles on September 13th and was hospitalized in critical condition. KTLA reported.
Aguilar and his wife, celebrity hairstylist Priscilla Valles, were confronted by four armed men in the driveway of their Bel Air home on September 13, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
