Five charged over fatal shooting of woman in south Wales | UK news

Five people have been charged after a 40-year-old woman was shot and killed in South Wales last week.

Joanne Penny passed away on Sunday in the block of a flat in Talbot Green near Ponticlan, Ronda Sinon Tuff.

South Wales police said they charged two women and three men appearing at Cardiff Magistrates Court on Saturday.

Marcus Huntley, 20, St. Melon, Cardiff. Melissa Quilly Dashper, 39, of Leicester. Joshua Gordon, 27, of O'Adobe, Leicestershire, has been charged with murder.

Tony Porter, 68, from Brownstonetown, Leicestershire, was charged with murder and joined the criminal acts of an organized crime group. Kistina Ginova, 21, from O'Adobe, Leicestershire, has been charged with supporting an offender.

Separately, a 32-year-old man was arrested Friday night in Suffolk, the unit said.

Penny's family said they were “devastated by the tragic loss of our beloved Joanne.”

“She was a daughter, mother, sister, nie. She was deeply loved by everyone who knew her,” the family said in a statement released through South Wales police. “I will never forget her kindness, strength and love for her family.”

On Saturday, DCS's Seri Hughes said: “Our team of detectives and expert staff continues to piece together the circumstances behind Joanne's tragic death. I think that the smallest information can be very important to anyone who has information about her death or what happened at Llys Illtyd on a Sunday evening.

“We would like to thank the community for their support in the investigation so far and for everyone who spoke to us and provided us with information.”
