Las Vegas, Nevada:

Police in North Las Vegas arrested a man suspected of shooting and killing five people on an apartment complex on Tuesday, local media reported.

In addition to the five people killed, a 13-year-old girl was shot and was in critical condition at a nearby hospital, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported, citing a police statement.

North Las Vegas police did not respond to a request for comment.

Police identified the suspect as Eric Adams, 57, who is accused of carrying out the shootings in two separate rooms in the same apartment late Monday night, the Review-Journal reported.

Police have not released details about a motive for the shooting or said how or when Adams was arrested.

The names of the victims have not been released, but police said four women and one man were among those killed, the newspaper said.
